Accounts Division

The Accounts Division of the Department of Sports Development is responsible for managing and maintaining the Department’s financial operations in accordance with government financial regulations, accounting standards, and public sector guidelines. The Division ensures accurate recording, reporting, and monitoring of all financial transactions to support transparency, accountability, and sound financial management.

The Division oversees budget preparation and execution, payment processing, revenue management, cash flow monitoring, and preparation of financial statements and reports. By maintaining proper financial records and controls, the Accounts Division ensures that departmental resources are used efficiently and effectively to achieve the Department’s objectives.

Through systematic financial management and adherence to government regulations, the Accounts Division plays a critical role in supporting the operational and developmental activities of the Department, contributing to the sustainable development of the sports sector in Sri Lanka.
