Development Division
The Development Division of the Department of Sports Development is responsible for the planning, design, implementation, and supervision of sports infrastructure development projects across the country.
The division provides technical expertise for the construction, renovation, and maintenance of stadiums, indoor sports complexes, training facilities, and other related infrastructure, ensuring compliance with approved standards, safety regulations, and technical specifications. It also undertakes feasibility assessments, cost estimates, technical evaluations, and quality control processes for development projects.
Working in close coordination with the Planning and Development Divisions, as well as provincial and district authorities and relevant technical agencies, the Engineering Division ensures that sports infrastructure projects are implemented efficiently, sustainably, and in accordance with national development objectives. Through its technical oversight and professional management, the Division contributes significantly to the provision of safe, modern, and high-quality sports facilities that support athlete development and community participation.
