Admin Division

The Administration Division of the Department of Sports Development is a key division responsible for carrying out the overall administrative functions of the Department in an efficient manner, in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and public service circulars. The primary objective of the Division is to provide the necessary administrative support to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the Department.

The Division is responsible for human resource management, including cadre administration, recruitment, promotions, training, discipline, and service regulation-related matters. Furthermore, the Administration Division handles office administration, records and document management, information technology support, transport services, maintenance of assets, and provision of common services. By ensuring transparency, accountability, and adherence to principles of good governance, the Division provides strong institutional support to other divisions of the Department.

Through these functions, the Administration Division plays a vital role in facilitating the effective implementation of national sports policies, the successful execution of sports development programs, and the sustainable development of the sports sector in Sri Lanka.
